Lisa Silverman, Alexandra Przyrembel, RP Kahl und Lars Henrik Gass im Gespräch mit Rüdiger Suchsland.

Die Geschichte des Films ist zumal in Deutschland eng mit der Geschichte des Antisemitismus verwoben. Dafür stehen so berüchtigte Nazipropaganda-Filme wie Jud Süß von Veit Harlan, der auch Thema des Panels sein wird. Darüberhinaus wird es um Entwicklungen in der Filmwelt seit dem 7. Oktober 2023 gehen – und in diesem Zusammenhang auch um die antiisraelischen Vorkommnisse während er Berlinale 2024 oder die Agitation gegen den Leiter der Internationalen Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, nachdem dieser zu einer Israel-solidarischen Demonstration aufgerufen hatte.

The history of film is closely interwoven with the history of antisemitism, especially in Germany. Notorious Nazi propaganda films such as Jud Süß by Veit Harlan, which will also be the subject of the panel, stand for this. It will also look at developments in the film world since October 7, 2023 - and in this context also at the anti-Israeli incidents during the Berlinale 2024 or the agitation against the director of the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen after he called for a demonstration in solidarity with Israel.
