Was ist Antisemitismus? Wie äußerte er sich historisch, wie kann er aktuell im kulturellen Feld und darüber hinaus in Erscheinung treten - und was kann man dagegen tun?
Hierüber diskutierten die Literaturwissenschaftlerin und Direktorin des Jüdischen Museums Frankfurt Mirjam Wenzel und der Literatur- und Sozialwissenschaftler Jan Philipp Reemtsma, moderiert von der Literaturwissenschaftlerin Tina Hartmann sowie Stephan Trüby, Leiter des Instituts für Grundlagen moderner Architektur (IGmA) der Universität Stuttgart.
Die Abendveranstaltung im Literaturhaus Stuttgart war Teil und Abschluss der zweitägigen Konferenz zum Thema Antisemitismus im kulturellen Feld: Zur Post-10/7-Situation in Architektur, Kunst, Literatur, Film, Musik, Theater und Theorie, die das IGmA anlässlich des ersten Jahrestages der Hamas-Attacke auf Israel vom 7. Oktover 2023 veranstaltet.
Eine Kooperation des Instituts für Grundlagen moderner Architektur und Entwerfen (IGmA) der Universität Stuttgart mit dem Literaturhaus Stuttgart. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Internationalen Zentrum für Kultur- und Technikforschung der Universität Stuttgart und freundlicher Unterstützung durch die Berthold Leibinger Stiftung und die Stiftung Landesbank Baden-Württemberg.

What is anti-Semitism? How did it express itself historically, how can it currently appear in the cultural field and beyond - and what can be done about it?
The literary scholar and director of the Jewish Museum Frankfurt Mirjam Wenzel and the literary and social scientist Jan Philipp Reemtsma discuss this questions, moderated by the literary scholar Tina Hartmann and Stephan Trüby, head of the Institute for the Principles of Modern Architecture (Design & Theory (IGmA) at the University of Stuttgart.
The event was part and conclusion of the two-day conference on the topic of Antisemitism in the cultural field? On the post-10/7 situation in architecture, art, literature, film, music, theater and theory, which the IGmA organized on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
A cooperation between the Institute for Principles of Modern Architecture (Theory & Design) (IGmA) at the University of Stuttgart and the Literaturhaus Stuttgart. In collaboration with the International Center for Cultural and Technical Research (IZKT) at the University of Stuttgart and kind support from the Berthold Leibinger Foundation and the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg Foundation.
