Abstract:
Tania Mancheno is an independent researcher and teaches Political Sciences and Geography at the University of Hamburg. She is also an associate member of the Research Center Hamburg’s Postcolonial Heritage/Hamburg and Early Globalization. Her research focuses on decolonial and afrocentric-feminist theory, phenomena of postcolonial urban violence and the European discourse on colonialism. Most recently, she published the paper “Navigating the Decolonial Margins of the Kolonialinstitut: An Embodied Reflection of Intellectual Collaboration Among Women of Color in the German Postcolonial City” (with Naz Al-Windi).
Tania Mancheno's short talk on „Colonialism“ was part of the International IGmA Symposium „Index of Modern Architecture“ on 1 July 2022 at Weißenhofsiedlung, Stuttgart.
